Distributed networks are only as strong as their most vulnerable, local nodes. We will examine the structural integrity of the Design Justice Network as we gather for the first time since launching our formal membership model. We will assess network resilience not by stress testing but by reinforcing connections, discussing our roots, identifying pain (& pleasure) points, sharing each other’s work, and by focusing on building dynamic, adaptable systems. Current individual, organizational, and working group DJN members are invited to this diagnostic session. We will tend to the spiritual and physical continuity of our network body and map out the extent of this growing ecosystem. Through design craft, we will create a vernacular grammar guided by our Network Principles and use it to surface luscious maintenance tactics. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to avoid nodal burnout and gain skills to reinforce their own design practices.

This Network Gathering is invitation only. For more information contact
