Hosted by Survived & Punished, this network gathering aims to decriminalize survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The gathering will build the capacity of organizers and advocates to mobilize participatory defense campaigns, advocate for policy changes, and build mutual aid strategies. We will explore strategies such as media organizing, participatory research, and policy advocacy. Participants will learn how to engage digital organizing tools to build a broad base for their campaigns and develop media advocacy tools to advance an analysis of gendered carceral violence and an abolitionist feminist praxis that center survivors of violence.
