Who we are
Our website address is http://amc.alliedmedia.org. Allied Media Conference is organized by Allied Media Projects, a non-profit organization based in Detroit that supports people and projects making media to change the world.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Currently, we are NOT tracking any user activity on the site
Analytics
In the future, visitors will be able to opt in to having their activity tracked, but by default tracking will remain turned off. (And when you opt in, we’ll tell you exactly what we’re tracking.) We use Matomo analytics software.
Tracking metrics like site visits, length of visit and individual page traffic will allow us to build a site that better serves our users needs. Allied Media Projects retains 100% ownership of any data we track, and we promise not to share it with any other parties.
We do not plan to gather any demographic- or identity-based data by tracking users. We are grateful to have such an engaged, trusting network of folks and we’d rather ask you to opt into surveys or other research — with enthusiastic consent — to gain this information.
For more on the principles informing our approach to digital consent, check out the Consentful Tech Project and their zine.

Allied Media Projects collects your name and email address through the contact forms on this site. As described above, we do not share this information with anyone — and you can request that it be deleted at anytime. Email communications@alliedmedia.org to have your contacts removed or with any other site and data questions.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Currently, we link to third-party social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Flickr.
