COVID-19 Community Care
AMC2022 COVID-19 Community Care Policy
The 22ND Allied Media Conference will convene nationally online and in-person for residents in and around Detroit.
As part of our safety precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19, we are asking people outside of the Detroit Metro Area NOT to travel to Detroit and for those located in and around Detroit to honor the community care protocols we put in place for AMC2022.
We acknowledge the inherent risk in gatherings of any size. Unfortunately, there is no perfect protocol. To do our best to mitigate harm, we are asking AMC in-person attendees to follow our COVID-19 Community Care Policy.
WEAR A MASK
We recommend that all AMC Participants who are able to wear an N95 or KN95 mask for all AMC2022 events regardless of vaccination status. AMC will have a limited number of masks available for attendees.
PLEASE CONSIDER YOUR VACCINATION STATUS
We know a COVID vaccination is a personal choice. If you have not been vaccinated please consider attending our virtual events to reduce your chances of catching COVID.
AMC staff and organizers will not require participants to show proof of vaccination for entry into the following events:
- Plenaries
- Ceremonies
- Welcome Party
- AMC2022 x MoGo Bike Ride
Our nighttime events pose the greatest risk. Proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 24 hours is required for entry into AMC@NIGHT parties on Friday and Saturday.
Here are a list of Detroit-based locations offering Rapid and PCR tests.
SUPPORT COMMUNITY CLEANLINESS
AMC will work with all conference venues to ensure facilities are cleaned and disinfected daily using scent-free resources. We’ll provide masks and sanitizer in our gathering spaces. We also ask that participants regularly wash their hands and change their face masks to ensure the best protection.
